Buy From Farmers Direct is being built as a trusted platform for people who want to discover better food, support British producers and reconnect with the people behind what they buy. As the platform grows, we are opening opportunities for sponsors who want to place products, distribute samples, support campaigns or feature their brand across our website, content channels and community projects.
This is designed for sponsors whose products genuinely align with food, farming, rural life, growing, cooking, hospitality, education, sustainability, local communities or British produce.

Our aim is simple: to help the right products reach the right people in a way that feels useful, honest and relevant.

Who this is for

Sponsors

This is the legally binding compliance system. The UK ETS applies to covered sectors and is designed to cap emissions while allowing regulated participants to trade allowances. The government says the scheme works on a cap and trade basis, where a cap is set on the total amount of greenhouse gases that can be emitted by sectors covered by the scheme. Participants receive or buy allowances, and one allowance permits the emission of one tonne of carbon dioxide equivalent.

What product placement can include

Sponsors may be able to support or feature across a range of BFFD platforms and campaign areas. This could include:

How sponsor product distribution works

  • STEP 1 - Contact the BFFD team
  • To begin, email: assistance@buyfromfarmersdirect.co.uk Please include your name, business name, website, contact number and a short explanation of the product or campaign you would like to discuss.
  • STEP 2 - Tell us what you want to place or distribute
  • Let us know what product you would like to promote, distribute or feature. This may be a physical product, sample item, branded resource, food item, educational pack, growing product, seasonal item or campaign asset. Please include as much useful information as possible, including product type, target audience, quantity available, preferred campaign dates and any location requirements.
  • STEP 3 - Explain your preferred platform areas
  • Sponsors can tell us which areas they are most interested in. This may include: Website placements, Social media campaigns, Newsletter features, Video content, Community projects, Supplier promotions, Giveaways or competitions. If you are unsure, the BFFD team can suggest suitable options based on your product and goals.
  • STEP 4 - BFFD reviews the sponsorship fit
  • All product placement and distribution requests are reviewed before approval. We look at relevance, audience fit, product quality, campaign suitability, trust, safety and whether the opportunity supports the wider BFFD mission. BFFD may decline products or sponsorships that do not feel appropriate, are misleading, do not match the platform values or could weaken trust with our users.
  • STEP 5 - Campaign options are agreed
  • If the opportunity is suitable, we will discuss the best placement route. This may include a one off feature, a seasonal campaign, a product giveaway, a sponsored article, a social media series, a newsletter placement or a wider partnership. At this stage, we will agree the campaign format, timing, platform use, creative requirements, product quantities and any reporting expectations.
  • STEP 6 - Products and assets are supplied
  • Sponsors may be asked to provide: Product samples Product information Images and video assets Brand logo Website link Usage instructions Safety or compliance information Offer codes or discount codes Campaign copy Delivery details Contact information Any restrictions or legal requirements For physical product distribution, delivery dates and recipient routes must be agreed in advance.
  • STEP 7 - Product placement goes live
  • If the opportunity is suitable, we will discuss the best placement route. This may include a one off feature, a seasonal campaign, a product giveaway, a sponsored article, a social media series, a newsletter placement or a wider partnership. At this stage, we will agree the campaign format, timing, platform use, creative requirements, product quantities and any reporting expectations.
